Hi. I’m Hailey.

My hope is that each person I work with will leave my office empowered to walk confidently into the future.

When you work with Grounded Roots Family Development Center, you can be confident that you, you, your child, and your family, are getting the very best evidence-based support.

I earned my bachelor’s degree from Texas A&M University in 2008. After graduation, I worked with children and families in multiple capacities as a paraprofessional in a special needs classroom, director of a special needs ministry, a parent trainer, and graduate student.

In 2012, I earned my graduate degree from Abilene Christian University as a Specialist in School Psychology and have been working in public schools as a School Psychologist since that time. I earned my Licensed Psychological Associate licensure in 2022. I am married and have 4 wonderful boys.

My passion for neurodevelopmental disorders emerged as I worked with, and learned from, children who experience the world in unique ways; including those with Autism Spectrum Disorder, ADHD, and Tourette Syndrome. I have since focused on providing comprehensive evaluations and effective, evidence-based interventions for these disorders.

At Grounded Roots Family Development Center, we are dedicated to empowering children and their families. We offer services designed to support the unique strengths and challenges of each child. Our goal is to create an environment where every child and family can thrive, be their best self, and take root for greatness. I look forward to partnering with you and your family on this journey.

Hi. I’m Kara.

My desire is to make an impact and help create change within our community by supporting children and families. I hope to use play as an effective and familiar way to connect with children and support their mental and emotional well-being. My goal is to work collaboratively with families to foster growth and positive development from the very beginning.

I look forward to having the opportunity to meeting you and working collaboratively with you and your child

I have been in the field of social services for the last seven years working with families and children. I became a therapist as I have always desired to make an impact and help make change within our community. I have worked with children and adolescents as young as three up to eighteen. I am a graduate from the Clinical Mental Health Counseling program at Hardin Simmons University.

I feel that working with children is my passion as that is where development begins and can make such a profound impact on their mental and emotional well-being. This is what drew me to working with the young child age group and also play therapy. I have over three years of experience using play in skills-based sessions and am learning to apply this experience in play therapy. I feel that play is such an amazing and effective way to connect with children through therapy. Play provides something familiar for children to connect with within the therapy setting.

A fun fact about me is that I have been running a small baking/dessert catering business for over a decade now. Which is my own therapy.
